WE (Trish, Cody, Kids, Their Trailer, Me and my Trailer) Went out to the sand dunes over the weekend to break in our new trailers. Amos, Erika, and their kids came down on SAT morning to help us with the break in. Our trailers are really cool and we can't wait to build our own little city when more of our friends get their trailers all together at the same time.
We arrived at the dunes late night on Friday after a quick stop at Ikea for some diner and some rugs to a swampy mush parking lot. I know I was a little nervous about sinking into the Quicksand and I think Cody and Trish were a bit freaked to. But after a little searching we found a spot that worked out very well with no sinking.
After we got settled we all just hung out in my trailer and had a late night snack before passing out for the night. Saturday morning I woke up the the faint sound of what I thought was a light drizzle of rain. When I finally drug my butt out of my bed to do the morning business, to my surprise this is what the drizzle actually was
Rub my eyes... Sand mountain is a bit more white than I remember.
I'm thinking our trip is screwwed and we are going to be just hanging out in the trailers for the next 36 hours.
The snow actually melted around ten o'clock and made for some really good riding in the wet sand.
